The Science Behind True HEPA Filtration

“HEPA” stands for High-efficiency Particulate Air, as officially defined by the U.S. Department of Energy. They’re made to remove about 90% of particles from the air.

These harmful particles are caught and trapped through the filter. In the process, they can get broken up as the passing airstream smashes them against the filter’s surface.
